School Uniform at Grove Park Primary School

 

We have a school uniform at Grove Park Primary School, which is based on the colours royal blue, white and grey and we encourage all children to come to school dressed in school uniform.

 

The uniform consists of:

·        royal blue sweatshirt or T-shirt

·        grey skirt or trousers

·        white polo shirt or blouse

·        black shoes

 

In the summer, girls may wear a light-weight, blue-and-white-checked dress and the boys may wear grey shorts.

 

The following items are sold in school:

·        royal blue sweatshirt with the school logo

·        plain royal blue cardigan

·        T-shirts in white and royal blue with the school logo

·        long and short sleeved white polo shirt with the school logo

·        baseball and legionnaires caps with the logo

 

Grey trousers, plain white shirts, T-shirts and polo shirts without the school logo are available from many children’s clothes shops, larger supermarkets and many department stores.

 

It is important that children wear comfortable, practical clothing that allows for freedom of action.  Shoes are of particular concern and the emphasis here is on safety.  Please send your child to school in sensible, flat-heeled black shoes.

 

Children need to have black shorts, a white T-shirt and plimsolls for Physical Education and games from the Reception class upwards (not Nursery). 

 

All children will need something to put their PE equipment in.  PE bags are available from the school office or you may use your own material bag.  Please do not send in carrier bags, as these are a safety risk.  The bags should be clearly labelled with the child’s name.

 

Book bags, which are regularly used by children, are also on sale in the school office.  Back packs are available for Keystage 2 children and are on sale with the uniform on a Friday morning.

 

All items of clothing worn to school should be clearly labelled with the child’s full name.

 

Uniform is on sale term time only on Fridays at 9.00 am.
